Hourly Employee Job Announcement

Earthtones Northwest is Oregon and SW Washington’s premier living arts therapies provider, enriching the lives of hundreds of clients every year. We provide in-person and virtual music therapy, horticultural therapy, and art therapy services as well as partnerships, consultation, and community education. We believe all people have the right and capacity to engage with the arts and understand that deepening our relationship with the arts, with nature, and with each other is essential to living a meaningful life.

Earthtones Northwest employs compassionate, uniquely skilled, licensed and board-certified music therapists and art therapists as well as registered horticultural therapists to serve children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. We partner with our clients, their families, with health agencies, and with recognized arts organizations to meet important health outcomes and bring vitality and healing to our community.

Our therapy center is located in a gorgeous historical building located at the foot of Mt. Tabor Park in SE Portland–a church and vibrant community center that houses a Brazilian cafe, free and low-cost events, concerts, classes, support groups, day-use rental spaces, pre-schools, and healing arts practitioners

We are looking for a board-certified music therapist, a registered or provisionary art therapist, or a registered horticultural therapist to join our friendly and supportive team of 12 to provide services to a wide range of clientele.

You are a kind and compassionate professional whose philosophy is one of openness and adaptability and that also aligns with the full spectrum of age, ability, and health needs.

You say “Yes!” to the joys and challenges of providing mobile sessions to the clients who seek services from an independent community agency such as ours, and you find meaning in your work through meeting individuals where they are at.

You are a well-rounded clinician and your professional interests are expansive beyond client diagnoses or age. You thrive working in dynamic systems of client care and are energized bringing your skills and knowledge to several client systems per day. You enjoy providing both group and individual therapy and deliver mobile and in-home services with ease.

You demonstrate exceptional clinical skills in bringing creative, anti-oppressive, and person-centered living arts therapies experiences to your community. You bring your unique artistic or nature-based clinical skills to your work, and are visionary in recognizing possibilities for all people in developing their musical, artistic, and/or horticultural capacities.

You model thoroughness in client relations and are known for your excellence in both clinical documentation, written communication, and face-to-face interactions with clients, caregivers, and your clinical team. Your current and past supervisors describe you as professional, responsible, accountable, and timely.

You want to work on a team where you can flourish and grow professionally in the Great Northwest–a team known for its ethos of compassion, service, and innovative community arts work.
